By public transport, you basically have three (four) options: 199, 179, or Campus Rider (& Weekend Rider on Weekends). However, there's also external shuttle buses! Read on for more.

Public Transport

AT A GLANCE

Here's a handy map from NTU - with all the bus routes inside:

From Boon Lay Interchange, you'll be able to catch both 199 & 179. The former comes less regularly than the latter, which is available at least every 10 minutes.

From Pioneer station's bus stops, you'll also be able to catch 179, or Campus Rider (green) (& Weekend Rider (brown) on weekends)

For those staying in North Hill Halls (Tanjong, Binjai or Banyan), you can catch 199 on the way in & drop off at PUB Sub-Stn for a short walk in. On your way out, simply cross the road to Hall 10 & 11 for 199.

The last SBS buses out are at 2330.

Using the External Shuttle Services

HEARTLAND SHUTTLE - FOR NTU STUDENTS ONLY

If you are living far from NTU, there are shuttle buses to bring you to and from campus. These are known as the Heartland Shuttle Buses.

They depart from

  1. Ang Mo Kio MRT

  2. Sengkang MRT

  3. Tampines MRT

  4. Bukit Gombak MRT

  5. Pasir Ris MRT

  6. Punggol MRT

  7. Yishun MRT

Do note that the queue tends to be quite long (it is not uncommon to not make it onto the shuttle despite being there). There is a queue and matriculation card checking system - so don't forget your matric card!

For information on the departure times & venues from these stations, click here for the official NTU intranet page - sign in with your NTU email.

The shuttle also goes FROM NTU to AMK, Sengkang & Tampines MRT on weekdays at 5PM, from Carpark F. Refer to the NTU intranet page here for more information.
